Investing in options has been an overwhelmingly poor experience for most investors. Greeks, complex math, and chains of data make options seem difficult, risky, and ultimately inaccessible to most investors. Banks, insurers, and asset managers have built a $1 trillion market selling structured investment outcomes to wealthy people in the forms of structured notes, annuities, and ETFs. We want to level the playing field and give every investor the ability to control their financial outcomes.

We are headquartered in Hudson Yards, NYC though our team is made up of a global team of mostly contract designers, engineers, data scientists, financial analysts, and product managers who are working toward a common goal of making outcome investing easy and accessible. We are currently building out our full-time founding team and are excited to find our first 10 employees.


The Role

Olive is seeking a trading operations manager responsible for the critical functions of the broker-dealer for Olive. In this role you’ll be responsible for working directly with both customers and key internal stakeholders (compliance, business, and legal) to facilitate the transition to new clients for the broker-dealer as they prepare to transact on Olive.com.


What You’ll Do

  • Take a hands-on approach to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets achievement.
  • Manage toward a goal of profitable revenue growth for the company.
  • Managing brokerage operations functions, such as but not limited to New Accounts, Customer Onboarding, Market Operations, Reconciliations, Trading / Corrections, etc.
  • Maintaining supervisory authority over introducing brokerage operations functions and ensuring up-to-date desktop procedures and written supervisory procedures (WSPs).
  • Oversee the on-going operation of the back office team including day to day administrative, operational and vendor relationships, managing customer brokerage accounts, trades and transactions to achieve business goals while meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Provide oversight of our operational playbook with related policies and procedures.
  • Establish new and enhance existing operational performance metrics to increase visibility, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Manage special projects as needed including assisting with examinations and inquiries for the SEC, FINRA and/or inquiring states.
  • Provide critical initial support in the maintenance of critical external relationships with clients, broker counter parties and clearing firms, as well as other key vendors.
  • Interact with custodians, broker/dealer, outside money managers, alternative investment, mutual funds, insurance, and annuity companies.
  • Responsible for facilitating money movement requests, account research, data entry, client onboarding/offboarding.
  • Responsible for resolving client issues and processing various account maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement automated processes and procedures to enhance broker/dealer efficiencies.


Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Series 24 License.
  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, or similar area.
  • Appreciation for compliance and adherence to government and industry regulations
  • Prior success implementing and updating Written Supervisory Procedures.
  • client onboarding – working with Olive’s Compliance Department to ensure there is sufficient client documentation and such information is databased and accounted for in Olive’s records.
  • Engage in client relationship management.
  • Ensuring client is setup in Olive’s systems – internal databases, sales/trading department reports, as well as to Olive’s trading platforms and middle office matching systems to ensure timely and seamless allocation/settlement upon trading.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Bonus:

  • Experience working with Carrying or Clearing Broker-Dealer.
